“Quietly Observing”

$4.00$30.00

9″ x 12″ archival print. Also available as a 5″ x 7″ folded greeting card. Original drawing:  Pen and ink with pastel dust

The subject for this piece was a Barn Owl recovering from a wing injury at the California Wildlife Center in Southern California. The facility takes in orphaned and injured wildlife, rehabilitates them, and the animals are then released back into the wild. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to volunteer there for many years. This owl had progressed enough to be moved to an outside flight pen to help regain the ability to fly. The bird was calmly observing me as I was delivering it’s meal. There was something serene and regal about it’s demeanor. With their striking heart shape faces, I find Barn Owls to be one of the most unique looking birds.

9” x 12” Giclee print on 100% cotton paper. Print comes with a 1/2″ white border around artwork to aid in framing. 5″ x 7″ folded greeting card is printed on 80# card stock with smooth matte finish.
