“Buddy”

Buddy was a sweet Golden Retriever who belonged to a friend of ours. The photo reference used for this drawing was taken when he was a puppy. He had been full of puppy energy and it was difficult to get him to sit or stand still for very long. We were able to get him to focus on a tasty treat for a few seconds to get this shot. He appears quite serious in profile, but in real life he was a very happy and silly soul.
