7″ x 5″ archival print. Print also comes hand-embellished where I have applied some highlights on the swan and water with pearlescent watercolor. Also available as a 7″ x 5″ folded greeting card. Original drawing: Colored pencil, pastel dust, pearlescent watercolor on blue toned paper.

Do you ever feel like things are not progressing like they should? I had been working on a drawing that seems to be taking FOREVER! I was getting very frustrated with myself, (migraines didn’t help the process, either). So, I took a step aside to create this little piece using one of my favorite quotes. I have it sitting in my studio to remind myself to be patient. The end result is worth the wait. This can apply to so many parts of life, not just art. The drawing is mostly colored pencil. There is some pastel dust used as an underpainting with a little pearlescent watercolor highlights in the swan and the water.
